Shelton’s Primary Education Center\'s K-5th grade program, now called Bridgemount Academy, was founded in 1974. Bridgemount is a private, non profit elementary school providing educational services for children in Kindergarten through elementary grades. Shelton’s Primary Education Center and Bridgemount Academy is the outgrowth of Shelton’s Day Care which was founded in 1971.
Bridgemount Academy is registered with the State of California as a private school and our educational program not only meets but exceeds the education requirements of the State of California. Upon leaving, Bridgemount Academy students have a strong academic foundation and a high level of self esteem, and are eligible to attend any other public or private school.
Bridgemount Academy focuses on multi-cultural experiences, heritage and cultures. Bridgemount Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its education or admission policies.

Our mission is to provide a unique and challenging educational experience for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our vision is that we serve and benefit our community by providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages positive growth and development in children and gives them a strong foundation rich in their cultural heritage and awareness of the world.
We are dedicated to providing a high standard of education. With success as the ultimate goal, we challenge all students to do their best. The objective is to train and equip children with those talents which will contribute towards their growth as wholesome individuals.
We are committed to ensuring high self esteem by providing a curriculum designed to strengthen personal identity and character. We do this by drawing from the most positive contributions of all people in science, literature, math, social science and the fine arts
